The City of Maryland Heights is holding their “Celebrate the World” Festival this Sunday, and the event and parking are free!

There are some extra in-ad coupons for crackers and Snack Pack Pudding this week at Dierbergs, but not a whole lot else to get excited about. Carie’s done the work to match up sales with coupons, however, in her latest Dierbergs post.

Thanks, Carie!

Looks like a quiet week at Schnucks. Carie still can match coupons up to maximize your savings if you’re heading that way, however. Be sure to check out her latest Schnucks post.

Thanks, Carie!

Cotton Babies, a St. Louis-based company selling cloth diapers all over the globe, has started a new program to help St. Louis area families in need. Hearing reports that some families with young ones were forced to choose between buying diapers and buying food, Cotton Babies decided to take some action. Their newest community outreach effort is offering free cloth diapers to qualifying families in the St. Louis area.

Are things really tight in your family right now, and the money for diapers just isn’t there? Consider applying for free diapers from Cotton Babies’ new “Share The Love” program!

Or, perhaps you’re in a spot where you can help others who are facing tough times. You can check out ways to help through Cotton Babies.

I’m excited to hear about yet another way Cotton Babies is taking their considerable place of standing in the cloth diaper world and using it for good. Keep up the great work, Cotton Babies! :)

We decided the Carrot-Thyme soup was just so-so, and the Sour Cream Noodle Bake a bit salty for our taste, but otherwise last week’s menu was a success…what we ate of it, at least! We were reminded after about a year’s hiatus just how good Beer Batter Bread is. Oh, my! That’s one recipe I plan to share with you when I get the chance. We’re not big “beer people”, but we love this bread!

The coming week is unusual for us, in that we only plan to have four evening meals together as a family. Sure makes it easy to menu plan, though! ;)

On this week’s menu:

Dinners

  • Tuna Supper Pie, Frozen Veggies, Fruit (we didn’t eat this last week)
  • Spaghetti with Ricotta, Lemon and Spinach; Broccoli (another one we didn’t eat last week!)
  • Date Night Dinner Out
  • Chicken in the Chips, Green Beans, Canned Peaches
  • Dinner with Friends x 2
  • Herb-Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus, Applesauce, Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Sunday Lunch

It seems to me Dierbergs is the store to skip this week, but check out Carie’s latest Dierbergs coupon matchup just to make sure there isn’t something on sale you need that pairs with a coupon.

Thanks, Carie!

Schnucks is running a Unilever deal this week, so it looks like a fabulous time to stock up on pasta sauce – either Ragu or Bertolli! Carie has spent the time matching deals with coupons, so be sure to check out this week’s Schnucks coupon matchup before you shop!

Thanks, Carie!

Happy Valentine’s Day! :)

It’s “$50″ week at Shop n Save, plus a Con Agra deal is running! This makes it a great time to stock up on canned tomatoes, Pam, and other Con Agra products. Carie has all the coupons matched up for us in her latest Shop n Save post.

Thanks, Carie!

Red Lobster is at the tail end  of their “four course feast” right now, so my husband and I decided on the spur of the moment to make that our date night destination for this week. We split one $15 four-course dinner and each came away plenty full! Stick to only water (or, in our case, the drink I ordered took so long to come that they didn’t charge us for it. Yay!) and you can easily get away with a $20 seafood date night, including tax and tip. Not too bad, if you ask me!

For $15, you get soup, salad (and lots of cheddar biscuits!), main course, and dessert. As I said, we split this one meal and it was definitely enough food for the two of us.

Red Lobster isn’t stating when the promotion ends, but my guess is that it will be over before Valentine’s Day. If you want to check before you go, call your local Red Lobster to be on the safe side.

Happy Date Nights! :)
