It seems to me Dierbergs is the store to skip this week, but check out Carie’s latest Dierbergs coupon matchup just to make sure there isn’t something on sale you need that pairs with a coupon.
Thanks, Carie!
Schnucks is running a Unilever deal this week, so it looks like a fabulous time to stock up on pasta sauce – either Ragu or Bertolli! Carie has spent the time matching deals with coupons, so be sure to check out this week’s Schnucks coupon matchup before you shop!
Thanks, Carie!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
It’s “$50″ week at Shop n Save, plus a Con Agra deal is running! This makes it a great time to stock up on canned tomatoes, Pam, and other Con Agra products. Carie has all the coupons matched up for us in her latest Shop n Save post.
Thanks, Carie!
Red Lobster is at the tail end of their “four course feast” right now, so my husband and I decided on the spur of the moment to make that our date night destination for this week. We split one $15 four-course dinner and each came away plenty full! Stick to only water (or, in our case, the drink I ordered took so long to come that they didn’t charge us for it. Yay!) and you can easily get away with a $20 seafood date night, including tax and tip. Not too bad, if you ask me!
For $15, you get soup, salad (and lots of cheddar biscuits!), main course, and dessert. As I said, we split this one meal and it was definitely enough food for the two of us.
Red Lobster isn’t stating when the promotion ends, but my guess is that it will be over before Valentine’s Day. If you want to check before you go, call your local Red Lobster to be on the safe side.
Happy Date Nights!
We had a little girl a bit under the weather a couple of days this week, so we stayed home more than usual. One day we put our time to use by making homemade pretzels together, and then we all enjoyed the yummy treat. Mmm!!
Dinners (in no particular order):
- Carrot-Thyme Soup, Beer Batter Bread, Hot Dogs (for the kids, in case the soup’s not a hit – we’re having friends over)
- Spaghetti with Ricotta, Lemon and Spinach; Broccoli
- Unbelievable Spinach Calzones, Salad
- Date Night Dinner Out
- Tuna Supper Pie, Frozen Veggies, Fruit
- Chicken Pot Pie (x2 to have one for freezer), Spinach Salad
- Sour Cream Noodle Bake, Frozen Veggies
Other:
- Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup
- Roast 2 chickens for meat (we bought several free-range chickens awhile back, so this is the easiest way for me to get to the meat for other recipes. I’ll then make stock from the carcasses and use that for the Cream of Chicken Soup.)
- Pie Crusts x 2 (for Chicken Pot Pies)
Yay! We can get $0.29 frozen vegetables at Dierbergs this week! Find out how to score that, as well as some other deals, with Carie’s latest Dierbergs coupon match-up.
Thanks, Carie!
Blackberries are $1 at Schnucks this week, plus there’s a coupon available! Carie connects you with that and other info with her latest Schnucks coupon match-up.
Thanks, Carie!
Looks like a good week to shop at Aldi!
If you want to venture to Shop n Save, however, be sure to take a look at Carie’s latest Shop n Save coupon matchup post to maximize your savings.
Thanks, Carie!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had the itch to clean out our storage lately. When I can find an extra chunk of time, I pick a section and go through it – wrapping paper and supplies, camping gear, extra food items…and kids’ clothes. I’m beginning to think that kids’ clothes multiply when they are put in storage! How else could we possibly have so much?!
We’ve concluded that the best thing for our family this spring is to do a “Free Sale”, something akin to a garage sale, but without pricing items and letting people take them for free if they need them. Any money donated will go to a selected charity. We’re going this route because we are blessed to have plenty and also because – frankly – I just want to get rid of our extra items and don’t want to spend a lot of time doing it.
However, if you have the time and inclination to make a little cash, now is a great time to start looking into the various mega consignment sales in the area. I’ve listed several below to get you started, and be sure to check out the guest post Wendy Skinner wrote for FrugaLouis last year with fabulous pointers for those wanting to sell at these sales.
